Why we Report on OUT Traffic
The purpose of this article is to know why we recommend using OUT over IN traffic
Please note that tRS would strongly recommend using OUT over IN as it more closely reflects the traffic numbers to purchase time of a transaction which allows for better reporting for conversion and sales.
An example used to explain the value of using OUT over IN is as follows.
-
A customer can walk into a store look around for an item of clothing for 30mins, + trying it on etc.
-
Once the customer has completed a transaction they commonly exit the store within the next 30 seconds of completing this transaction.
The OUT traffic numbers are more accurately aligned to the time a transaction takes place than that of the IN Numbers.
From this, you can more accurately link conversion and sales to your traffic numbers.
