Defining the 3 calendar options available in the cube - Retail Calendar, Financial Calendar and Calendar (Gregorian).
Retail Calendar
- Uses set Retail weeks that run Monday - Sunday (or as defined by the individual business)
- All Measures are based off the Retail Calendar unless specified as "Finanical"
Financial Calendar
- Uses the Financial months of July - June
Calendar
- Uses the Gregorian Calendar months of January - December
Calendars are used to define the time period of the report.
These can be viewed by dragging the field into filter, rows or columns of the pivot table.
This can be accessed using the embedded hierarchy fields that have a '+/-' button to expand and collapse from 'year' down to 'date'.
Alternatively the unique field can be viewed under the 'more fields' folder.

There are 3 options available:
1. Retail Calendar
- Uses set Retail weeks that run Monday - Sunday (or as defined by the individual business)
- Following the Financial months of July - June (or as defined by the individual business)
- And a rolling 4,4,5 weeks per month (or as defined by the individual business)
- to sum to a neat 52 weeks in a year

2. Financial Calendar
- Uses the Financial months of July - June (or as defined by the individual business)
- Each month runs from the 1st - 31st of the month
- a standard year is 365 days.

3. Calendar
- Uses the Gregorian Calendar months of January - December
- Each month runs from the 1st - 31st of the month
- a standard year is 365 days.
